"mighty max and mommy fund"

Below is an email from my wonderful friend, Corrie. Even though we have yet to meet in person, we have connected because of our special bond...miraculous, inspiring children with CHARGE syndrome.

Corrie is a truly amazing woman who I deeply admire for her faith and optimism. (Definitely check out her youngest child's journey...Tate is quite cute and such a trooper.)

Despite her crazy busy schedule, she thought about me and Maxwell and suggested we start a fund. (see below) She and my sister, Elizabeth, have worked together to make this happen. You both are amazing...thank you.

"Hi Amy, There are so many who have written into Max's blog wanting to help the two of you through this rough patch (crazy ruling from judge resulting in lack of support for Max and you).

It got me thinking that you guys need a fund set up for you so those of us that want to help, have a place to make that happen. Some friends of ours set one up for us a year or so ago and it's been invaluable to our family.

We're praying everyday that you can get some sort of resolution to the raw deal you and Max have received but until then (or even after because Max is always going to have lots of extra expenses) this fund could be a huge blesssing to the two of you.

I know it may be hard for you to accept this, but I really hope you'll agree and post this on Max's site so we can get the word out there for all of us who want to help you two out. We could call it the " Mighty Max and Mommy Fund" and all of your friends, family and any other Max fans can donate to this fund that will be set up. It's as simple as that!

Please let us do this for you and announce it on Max's blog. You'll be blessing all the rest of us by allowing us to help in some small way."

If paypal isn't an option, how about gift cards to grocery stores...target...places where you can really get what you need for day to day living..leaving YOUR funds available for other things?
Hugs...and what an AWESOME idea!!!!

Remember that paypal does take out a little for themselves as a fee. So, if you send $100,00, they won't be getting the full $100.00. Just wanted all to know that just in case.

This is a great idea. What a wonderful support group you have Amy and Maxwell.
Love,
Diane and Alex

Max: Your pics on the plane are priceless. You mean, someone took your cars away at the airport? I'm glad you got them back! I love the way the light is shining on you while you read your book. Such the cute little businessman!
