About two years ago, Maxwell decided he didn't like baths. No ifs, ands or buts.
It wasn't a pretty sight when it came time for bathtime. With all his screaming and protesting, one would think I was pouring acid, not water, on my sweet boy.
Then a few months ago, I convinced him that a shower type bath was ok. Huge progress. Woohoo! And then last month I convinced him to stand in the bath (with water) and he thought it was pretty cool to stomp and play with his toys. Awesome!
Well...this morning, he slipped and fell in the bath...which at first was very scary. Once he recovered, I explained (for the gazillionth time) that it would be even more fun to sit down in the tub. And he actually listened this time. He even let go of the soap bar eventually. Huge, huge, huge progress.
He was enjoying himself sooooo much that he actually refused to come out. I started to empty the water and he actually tried to lay down in the remaining water. When I dried his hair, he quickly got a cup of water and poured it over his head. He was in complete protest!
Quite a thrilling morning in the McKinley house! :) Tonight was a repeat of the sit down and play bath...yay! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to have fun bathtime again!!!
