art by max

Max drew this person today...about as unique and colorful as the artist himself!

He LOVES to draw faces on his iPad and choosing difference colors for the various features. (He does this entirely on his own...seriously. Navigates back and forth from the drawing to the color pad and puts it all together.)

This is the first time that Max chose ears with two different colors...AND that he has legs! LEGS! Oh my goodness was I excited to see that fun addition!

Love it, love it, love it!

I am so completely in love with Max's drawing! His use of color, the sweet details...it is perfect! Amy, can you print and frame this? I can just see it hanging on a wall and making you smile each time you pass it. :-)

Very cool...it reminds me of the Dr. Doolittle people. Love all the colors!

Amy, this is such huge progress! It may seem like such a simple drawing to most people, but think how it expresses Max's growing awareness of body parts and the "wholeness" of people in general. I love it!!

What app do you use for this? I'm just now starting to get our iPad set up for Katie, so haven't gotten any fun apps installed on it for her yet. I'm going to check into the proloque2go app you mentioned. I just found out that Katie's support classroom is purchasing an iPad for the kids and is going to be working with them on proloque2go in the classroom, so it is going to be so exciting to be able to have this consistency at both home and school for her!

Good luck at school this fall, Max! Can't wait to read about and see all your fun adventures!
