fun adventures

Today we headed out to one of the local beaches with friends and family and enjoyed a wonderful day in the sunshine!

We enjoyed kayaking, rock climbing (awesome - thanks Jim!), and just relaxing. Once I sang "Row Your Boat" to Max in the kayak, he totally was up for it...so cute! We only kept him out for five minutes but he did really great. He was completely comfortable and smiled quite a bit!

And when we returned home, we took on another adventure..."pool therapy" at our neighbor's house. (Thanks Lori!) Max absolutely despites pools and baths anywhere outside our home, but I am determined to show him how incredible and fun water can be.

Did it go well? Absolutely not. But that's ok. We'll keep trying a minute here, a minute there. He didn't scream the entire time and that's progress perhaps. And the scratches on my back from Max's death grip around my neck...they'll heal. :)

What a fantastic day!

Max, you will get in the pool when you are ready, but maybe just try it every once in awhile. Would love to see a picture of the two of you in the kayak singing/signing.
Love you both,
Carolyn in WV

Sounds like you guys had a great outside adventure weekend! Maybe Max will warm up to the water soon, but baby steps are good! I smiled picturing you guys doing "Row Row Row Your Boat" in the kayak- too cute!

I adore the way you look at and handle things... you have a great outlook & perspective. :-)

(Can totally relate to the scratches, by the way! Not for water disdain, but other reasons! :-))
