WCEL fundraiser and video

Tonight I am speaking at a fundraiser for Whatcom Center for Early Learning. WCEL is a local "birth to three" early intervention provider. Therapists came to our house several times a week for therapy, and we visited the center every Monday for a wonderful special needs playgroup. Often times, Max was too fragile and simply had too much equipment to go "TO" therapy...so having home visits was awesome.

I am looking forward to discussing the tremendous impact of their intervention and support...and also bragging a bit about Mighty Max! :)

Below is our video that will be shown...hope you enjoy! Max gives me his approval with the sweetest smile every time he has watched it. :)

Wonderful. Max is doing so many amazing things here lately that sometimes I forget what it use to be like for the two of you. I know you guys don't forget, but that was really a wonderful reminder of how awesome he really is. Thanks for sharing it.

Amy and Max - wow, what a miraculous journey the two of you have been on. This video brought back so many memories to me of the different challenges you both have faced - and conquered. Also brought tears. Tears of joy - because Amy, you are a true testimony to a mother's love. I know there have been days (weeks, months?) when you might have wondered, but I know that you know - that God does not give us more than we can handle. He had YOU picked out special to be exactly the mommy that Max needs. I pray that you continue to look to HIM for the strength that you need to face each new day and each new challenge, and that you always remember to celebrate! The two of you are such a team, and add God in there and the verse, a cord of three strands (you, Max and God) cannot easily be broken. Blessings to you my friend. And hugs for both of you.

So full of pride, joy, accomplishments and promise! I just loved watching it!

And, Mr. Mighty Max... what an incredible morning you had the other day! Just like a soldier... accomplishing more by 9am than most people do all day! HA! :-)

Amy - so sorry to have missed the show..... Wow. I so love my job! What a total privilege to have you both in my life - up the street, in my town, at work, and to have watched Max since he was so little...... I still vividly remember the first day you came to WCEL with Max. You were so terrified, and we were so smitten! Glad you kept coming.
Love yous!
