successful and FUN parade!

Yay! We (The Arc of Whatcom County) had our very first entry in the Ski to Sea Grand Parade...and it was wonderful! Lots of people, enthusiasm, bright colors, signs, the works!

Eva, Max's buddy from school, joined us and they were so cute together! They were standing on the flat bed and Max lost his balance a bit. So he immediately tried to grab on to Eva and then she started to lose her balance too. What an adorable pair!

Check us out...woo hoo! What a wonderful opportunity to promote awareness of The Arc and the unique abilities of every individual! We received such heartwarming support along the parade route. Thank you everyone!

Shakey joined us too, and he was so well behaved. Everyone took turns walking with him...so cute!

Amy & Mighty Max, It was wonderful to walk out of an appointment that my son had at Children's to see the 2 of you. I was so touched and honored to meet the both of you as brief as what it was. It brought tears to my eyes all the way home. I read your blog each and every day since it was posted in the Bellingham hearld a few years back. You are incrediable little Max and Amy. Your blog has touched me so many times and has made me stop to realize that when I think my glass is half empty that it is really half full. As you both continue your journey together.I hope that we will be able to meet again some day.
