the DsO buddy walk

What a special day of celebration for our community! Hundreds and hundreds of people came out to participate in the Buddy Walk and raise funds, hope and awareness for all people with Down syndrome. Congratulations Kristy and everyone for such a successful event! Here are a few highlights from our day:
A beautiful day for a beautiful event!

Max just loves trying on Mommy's sunglasses! Watch out Grammy...yours might be next. :)

"Uh oh." Yep, Max dropped his block into the trees and of course Bill had to act quickly.

Phew, that was close. Thanks Bill.

Max was a lil' cranky, so we took many breaks.

I think this photo is so perfect...it's so "us." I learned this set up awhile ago and it works out great. But yep, it probably is quite odd to others.

It looks like this year was nicer weather than last year's buddy walk. I was sorry to miss it :)

Love all the pictures. It's great to begin Monday with a "Max fix".

I haven't seen Maxwell's walker recently. Does he not use it now?

Love ya,
Mary

Amy, I got a kick out of that last picture. I've recently been doing the same thing. I does work great. I just always hope Luke doesn't have a bunch of air to push out when I do it that way. I'm sure you know how that could go. Yikes! Lookin' good Max!

I'm laughing SO HARD at the bolus feed picture. Holy cow that is so hilarious. We should do a scrapbook page just on the strange contortions and places we can get into while giving a feeding thru their gtubes. Heavy sigh, what we will do :)

And LOVE the pic of Bill, you , and Max. What a great day.
