This darn bug apparently wants to stay and invite all his friends over too.
He still feels incredibly lousy this morning and is requiring a lot of intervention. This morning he gave me quite the scare. In hopes of soothing him (he was whimpering and crying from feeling so sick), I was rocking him and reading him a book. He coughed a few times and then his sats just plummeted. I had just taken him off the monitor and O2 an hour earlier, but I could tell without the machine...this was serious. His face was that dreadful pale color and the lips were blue. Horrible. I shook him a bunch, grabbed the O2 and put him on the monitor. Sure enough he was in the 50s (and that was after some O2) and he took some time to bring up his sats. It felt like an hour but it was probably just a few minutes.
Not sure exactly what happened...perhaps some congestion got stuck in his narrow airway and he couldn't clear it. Either way, I'm certainly hoping it doesn't happen again.
The doctor wants to see him again this morning and I am wondering if we need to go ahead and check him in the hospital. We don't have our night nurse the rest of this week (vacation) and I'm wondering how we can do this when he is feeling this miserable.
I know this is minor compared to what some of Max's friends are experiencing (several are in the hospital dealing with major issues), but it is scary when you think your lil' guy is beyond this crazy medical stage. Quite the reality check for sure.

Sorry little buddy, that is awful! There is some nasty stuff going around here, Alex has pretty much been sick nonstop since the begining of June, which is VERY unlike him.
you are in my thoughts and prayers max, amy and grammy. I hope that the big guy can get a enough of a jump to fight the bugs/germs and not end up in the hospital.
Go away germs! Leave Mighty Max alone. Sorry for the terrible scare, Amy. I pray for Maxwell to feel better soon!
I am so sorry Amy.
