I was really hoping the antibiotics would kick this bug, but apparently not. His O2 needs have increased yet again and is requiring inhalers routinely to keep his lungs open. I tried to get him an appointment with the oncall doctor this weekend and they were completely booked. (Usually I can talk our way in, but the staff wasn't familiar with Max so that didn't work.)
Then I tried to get him in the ER and they were absolutely crazy there. I almost played doctor myself and started him on prednisone (a heavy duty steroid) because I am pretty sure that is what he needs.
Fortunately we were able to get an appointment for noon today. This lil' guy sure keeps me on my toes. We have physical therapy right after that appointment...hope he is up for it!
In the meantime, Max has managed to share his bug with me, his nurse and our neighbor! Thanks a lot Max...I know you are learning to share, but this isn't what I meant! :)

We have not been able to read your website in a couple days as we were prepping for the move in between hospitals...but I know how hard it is and I completely agree with the tough answer of 'how is your day going'. All of us have become remarkably strong becuase our children are so strong. And what an amazing support system you have introduced us too. Thank you so much for that as it has helped out greatly.

Sorry to read that Mr. Max is still not feeling so good. I rembere there was a good 2-3 years when Alex loved his "cocktail" as the preditrician called it... Prednisone & Augmentin. Seemed like we were on it a lot at the time. But he's grown out of it now, so here's hoping that Mr. Max will do the same.
In the meantime (((HUGS))). I have been out of touch because I was having computer problems so I missed the bad news about the divorce. I am stunned & I wish there was something that I could do. I do promise that if I ever win the lottery a big fat check will come every month to support you guys! I really really wish I could do something!!!
