hilarious video with tom tom

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Bellingham, and after a day of therapy, we thought some outdoor fun would be perfect. :)

We joined Eliz, Jim and the boys at the park and brought along Max's favorite new toy...his walker! Jackson and Thomas also love Max's walker and have great fun playing with it. Jackson said that Max should sit in the walker and they would push him in it...just like a wheelchair.

Apparently Tom Tom took Jackson's suggestion literally...check out this video. It is hilarious! My favorite part is when Max falls on his knees yet Tom Tom keeps pushing...and then Max is all freaked out because he is walking on grass (sensory issues). This is definitely one of my favorite videos...enjoy!

Amy, from one parent of a child with special needs to another, I know it can be disheartening watching your child with other "typical" children, but I can tell you as someone who doesn't see Max on a daily basis, the difference in videos is absoltutely tremendous. I notice many things - the speed and stride of his walk, his ability to hold himself up, including with one hand, his ability to get up quickly when he falls and go from sitting to standing ... Just a few months ago, he could barely pull himself up. Kathy and I have been having a blast watching his explosive growth!

What a helpful cousin Thomas is! Great expression on Max's face too...seems to be saying, "Mom! This kid is way too helpful!"
Thanks for sharing.

Oh my Gosh, that is the cutest video. Steph and I just watched it about 6 times in a row. It's sooo sweet. Max's face when he hits the grass and then again when Thomas is pushing him after he fell is adorable. It's fun to see the cousins playing together!

Love you guys,
Drew and Steph

I have watched the video so many times! Thomas is so anxious to help! Maxwell is one strong little guy to pull himself up and keep going. He showed no fear! His expression when he realizes that he is on the grass is so funny. It's like he realized that he did it to himself.

Love ya,
Mary

Amy, you never stop amazing me. I watched that video so many times and each time I smiled with joy for Max. You two are definitely perfectly matched! You have so much patience (allowed him to fall and get back up on his own), encouragement, and you can just hear the happiness and excitement in you voice. You are EXACTLY what Max needs and you are an AMAZING mother. And because Max is getting exactly what he needs, I have confidence and faith in God that he will succeed in his life. This short clip was more to me than a snippit of Max having fun--it showed me how truly blessed he really is in being given the perfect mother for him! May God bless you richly for taking such wonderful care of His child.
