glasses

Today we visited the eye clinic to try out some glasses. I wasn't sure how Max would respond and if we would be able to find a pair that would stay on with his two hearing aids (and one ear is lower than the other).

Max did AMAZING! I was sooooooooo proud of him. He was patient with trying on a few pairs and was accepting of yet another object on his face.

At first Max kept looking up down and side to side checking out the rims and the sticker on the lens. Quite cute to watch him process this new object on his face.

He liked checking himself out in the mirror and looking at the rows and rows of glasses. Love this pic...he just looks so handsome, studious and ok, I'll say it...yummy delicious!

After trying out the glasses, he got some chocolate and then insisted on some tickle time. The above "move" is Max's favorite...in case it's not obvious, it means "come tickle my armpit!" And then when you go to do that, he closes it, then opens, then closes. Love, love, love that he enjoys this connection with others!

When my son was 18 months old, he had his first glasses. As soon as he looked in the mirror, it was like a light bulb went off. He saw his face for the first time! So exciting! (He's almost 14 now and still in glasses - we get a new pair every year!)

Oh he looks adorably delicious in glasses! So proud of him for being so accepting and mature about the whole process...one more thing to wear can be stressful but not for Mr. Max...what a stud!!

PS...Burke wants to tell Max that throwing your glasses on the bus and losing them is NOT OKAY ;) It will get you in big trouble (Not that Max would ever do such a thing but just in case!)
Love,
Your friend Burke

Such a handsome little man in glasses! I can't wait to hear how the actual wearing of them goes! I am guessing that if he finds any benefit at all, he will want them on all the time :-).

(Love the armpit pic!)
