fiesta!

On Max's birthday last week, a few friends joined us for a fun fiesta at a local Mexican restaurant. It was an absolutely perfect way to end his special day!

Three fun highlights:

1) Our table was outside and Max was playing with a helium balloon. (Can you guess where this story is going?) So we had the balloon tied down to the table, but we were all still worried it was going to fly away. Well, the string stayed put but somehow the balloon got separated and it quickly flew away. We were in a panic thinking Max would freak out, but he simply pointed up...like "what in the world just happened?" And then he quickly pulled my hand up and towards the sky as though I would just fly up there and grab it for him. It was so darn cute! Love that he has that much faith in me that I can just fix anything! :)

2) The wait staff gathered around and sang "happy birthday" to Max. So fun! He loved the singing, wearing the sombrero (his definite favorite), and eating the yummy dessert. Truly, absolutely adorable!

3) Last but not least, he totally chowed down on beans, chicken, and rice. VERY impressive! :)

Thanks everyone for making this such a fun night! Happy birthday Mighty Max!

I LOVE the pictures, Amy. He looks super cute in that sombrero!

And his shirt, by the way, is adorable. A Treasury of Memories original?
