supported kindergarten program

Tomorrow I will be visiting a possible school for Maxwell that could provide more support for his needs. Technically it is referred to as "Lifeskills," but I prefer to refer to it as a "supported education program." To me, the term "lifeskills" at such an early age seems like we have just given up on the child's education, and we just want to prepare them to survive in life. I know that isn't what it is...but the term has some negative connotations.

I am pretty sure this will be the appropriate fit for Maxwell's upcoming school year and am curious to see it all in action.

I hope it went well and I know that Christopher is what is called Life skills here in Texas and it is exactly the negative of what you were saying... not much education at all so I hope that is not what the program is for him! Wishing you good luck with it and that is what you are looking for. I look forward to a future post about your visit.
