walking...AND "reading" Max?

The Buddy Walk for Down syndrome Outreach was earlier this month, and it was a great success! Beautiful day, fun people and wonderful support for our friends! YAY!

Max had a fantastic time! Not only did he enjoy showing off his independent walking, he also shared his favorite book. It was almost like he was bragging..."Look at me everybody! Not only am I walking, but now I can walk AND read a book. Yep, check me out!"

And the book he is carrying around with such delight? "Momma, do you love me?" was the very first book I read to him. (And it is still my very favorite!)

While Max was in the hospital, Mom and I escaped one difficult afternoon for some retail therapy and found this sweet book. I remember reading it over and over and over to him while he was so little and fragile.

And now here he is...walking and "reading." You go Max, you go!

This is sooooo cute!
I can't even walk and read at the same time! LOL!!!

And, how cool is it that he forgot about being afraid of the water?!

(How'd it go at Children's?)

He is doing so great walking around! Great pictures. And it is great to see him come so far, I love that he still reads and enjoys the book from when he was so little. You've come a long way baby!

That is my favorite book, too! I don't think I could read it and walk at the same time, though. :-) GO MAX!
