a night of celebration!

Lots of super cool achievements last night...

1) We played at the Cornwall Sprinkler Park! Yep, I said "WE"...Max actually ran through them with me! We got soaked and just giggled and giggled. He did sooooo great!

2) He then walked himself over to the playground and proceed to conquer it! He climbed up ALL by himself! Yep, it is was absolutely amazing! We have been working on this particular ladder/rock climbing wall for quite some time, and tonight he decided he could do it. And boy did he ever! WOW! Then he showed even more independence and bravery by walking unassisted on the woodchips. This is huge!

At one point, I was talking to a friend and realized "Wait, where's Max?" We quickly looked around and did not spot him. In the first time in four years, I had nearly an entire minute of not knowing where Max was. It was crazy but good! Sure enough he had climbed through a tunnel and down a slide all by himself!

3) After the park, I thought we just had to go out and celebrate. So we headed out for dinner and invited some friends. Want to be really, really impressed with this four year old? He sampled broccoli, chicken, ribs, potatoes, lettuce, onions and just about anything else I fed him! He just kept eating and eating!

So of course there was even more celebrating, and that turned into some signing led my Mighty Max. "Pitter Patter," "Row Your Boat" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider" was the line up and everyone joined in. Max was in pure bliss! And the tables around us were quite entertained too!

What a night of true celebration! (Thanks Max...I needed that!)

WOW Max! And what cute pics in your other posts. Glad to hear the hearing aid was found and can't wait to meet you in a few days!

It sounds like we should get together for a sprinkler park playdate! Good job on the wood chips Max, that's really impressive!

Dale mentioned he saw you at the park and said "Max is huge and fast!"
