stalker/shadow...or just another concerned mommy?

Yep, I admit it...I'm following following Max's school bus. Hey I just need to make sure he is ok and everything is going smoothly. The bus driver has jokingly referred to me as "her shadow." :)

And then yesterday she randomly asked "are you an aerobics instructor?" Totally confused, I replied "no, why?" "Oh you just seem to have that type of energy all the time!" It was pretty funny.
Little did she realize the past five nights I have lived on only three (maybe four when I'm lucky?) hours of sleep. Silly me, Max kept me some of those nights. But the other nights? Totally my fault...I am turning Max's first blog (maxupdate.blogspot.com) into a book and I stay up way too late working on it. Opps!
So can I add "author" to my list of current professions too? Sure sounds better than Max's bus shadow, doesn't it? :) I'll have to put the book down for the day though and simply be Max's mommy/care coordinator/driver. We are heading down to Children's for some clinic visits. Oh wait, what am I thinking? I forgot one of my most important roles with Max...Entertainment Director! He loves to keep busy and have fun...up to me to keep him happy in a 4x4 doctor's office! :)
Off we go...(and yes we have already been up for two hours. Max, you really are allowed to sleep past 4 am, I promise!!!) But you know what my special treat is this morning (for being up at 4am and making a 2 hour drive)? Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte. If you haven't tried this creamy, sweet, hot, absolutely YUMMY fall specialty, do so pronto. Oh. my. goodness. These are good. very. very. good.
Hope Max's bus driver isn't too lonely today without me...

A Book? So where do I stand in line for a book signing?

Max, try not to have too much fun at Children's..Dragonboy will be there next week. You need to keep some of the roof/rafters there intact for him to climb. LOL..Just kidding.

Tell momma, that she needs to add the title "Guardian Angel" to her role/title.

Love you guys and miss you!!

I am laughing out loud at this one. :) I have wondered myself sometimes where you get all this energy. That's a hoot. Maybe you can get you a couple hours of rest while Max is in school (if you weren't following the school bus!) :) I don't blame you, though. I think I'd be the same way. I don't see how you can bear to be away from your sweet boy...

I love your post Amy.

I was laughing so hard at the bus driver's question, as I have wondered many times how to tap some of your energy for myself. You are a gem! A very active gem!

Forgot to tell you that I went to Treasury of Memories and got lots of 'inspiration' in the form of kits. The 'back to school' kit being one of them. Scrapbooking has helped my mental health alot lately. I cannot say that often enough, it's a way to bring closure to lots of our memories. Some good, some difficult, you get the picture (no pun intended).

Take care! LOVES TO YOU MAX!!!

Oh, I love this post! I'm smiling and laughing and craving a pumpkin spice latte now! I think I'm going to have to have Grandma come play with Viv while I finish my Blurb book - it's hard to do unless I have a big chunk of time...and I love my sleep too much to stay up late!...But maybe if I was sipping a pumpkin spice latte... :-)

Amy you're too funny. Actually, an aerobics instructor sounds perfect for you and I totally look forward to a book! Wow lady. How many of those latte's have you had?

lol~! I totally see the "aerobics instructor" energy :o) and the Pumpkin Spice Cream Latte (no espresso) is Elliot's (Keith's younger but not youngest brother's) favorite! He has lived in small mourning over it's absence since it disappeared at the end of winter :o) Congratualtions on all you love and energy. I check your blog everyday - and you always live from your truth and with the greatest love ...

Hi Amy,
I hate to admit it but it was all I could do to NOT follow my kids busses this year! My daughter is in her first year of high school and my son is in his first year of middle school! Can you imagine?!?! Yep, I love my kiddos!
Hope your day at Children's went smoothly with great reports from Max's doctors!

Hugs to you both,

Amy, you're to funny. At least when you stalk the bus, Eva's already on it, so you're making sure she's safe, too. Thanks, silly woman.
