by george, he's got it!

Oh this is good...very good. Remember how Max has liked to refer to many people (including his beloved blocks) as "momma?"

Pretty much if someone important to him left the room and I would ask "where'd they go?", Max would sign and say "momma." Yes, it was adorable. Yes, it was amazing progress. And yes, while I was THRILLED with the sign language and verbal expression, I was frustrated that he simply wasn't getting that the precious title belonged only to one person...me.

Well, we have been working on it...and working on it...and working on it. And by george, he got it...he finally got it. In the past few weeks, Max has started appropriately using "momma" and it is WONDERFUL!!! :)

When I enter a room, he pretty much screams with delight with "momma, momma, momma"...and when I leave a room, I often hear a very soft, sweet "momma." It's pretty darn cute to say the least...and an absolute dream come true for me.

Yep, that Mighty Max...he sure is something! :)

I am equally happy for & proud of you. Your hard work deserves rewards such as these. May God continue to bless you and Max in ways that only He can!

Amy...we've got to get these kids together! Jayna started using "mama" appropriately recently as well! How frustrating it was when she said everyone elses name but never "got" mine! Greatest moment EVER the first time she got it right! Yeah MAX!!! Thank you for bringing such joy to your momma's life!
