Well I take my chances with Max on occasionally...sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. But to me, that is the only way to keep moving him forward on this developmental and medical journey.
I had him in a setting with other children and he was exposed to more germs than usual. Just an hour seemed to give him enough time to collect some fun lil' bugs. Because sure enough, he was sick a few days days later...and hasn't improved much yet. Fortunately it hasn't completely wiped him out, but the bug is definitely holding on. Lots of inhalers and CPT (clapping of the chest and back to move around the secretions). We were close to bringing out the oxygen last night but instead resorted to more CPT (which leads to lots of coughing) and that seemed to do the trick.
He definitely has been moody this week (very frustrating at times), but all in all he is handling this ok. Not great, but ok.
Unfortunately we did have to miss a very wonderful opportunity yesterday. Our WA state CHARGE family was getting together in Seattle. But I certainly didn't want to share our germs with anyone else. And this morning we are going to stay home from his developmental playgroup and therapy appointments.
Hope his strength prevails and we can be done with this episode very, very soon! Sorry Max...you just never know until you try.

I'm sure that if he had a choice, he would have wanted to go play with his friends. He'll be well soon, he's just so strong I can't imagine this keeping him down for long.
Feel better sweet Max...
Kisses and lots of rest from Mommy will do the trick. We love you Max!!! And Mommy too. Cause mommy needs hugs too.
