Uncle Jim and the boys joined us too so that Max could see how much they loved it.
It went "ok." He definitely is NOT a big fan, but he didn't completely freak out either. He hung on very tightly (so basically we snuggled in the water for an hour) but eventually he touched the water and splashed it a bit.
This was major progress from last time! We'll keep trying, right Max?
BEFORE
Mom, what are we doing here? Uh, this isn't that big scary water place, is it? Is it?
AFTER
Wow, what a thrilling time that was Mom. Can't wait to come back.
Just kidding Mom. It wasn't ALL that terrible. Snuggling is always fun! But maybe we just do that in our lil' pool (aka bath tub) at home next time?

Precious Maxwell! You look so sad after the pool but I can see that you weren't said long. :-)
My daughter was just the opposite of you. She hated baths so we took her to baby swim classes thinking that would help her like baths. Wrong! She loved swim classes but continued to fight baths for sometime.
Way to go for trying Max! I'm sure that someday you'll be jumping off the diving board!! Keep practicing and you'll be a little fish in the water before you know it!!

Amy..your comments by Maxs photos ALWAYS make them extra cute and special! My kids didn't like the pool when they were little either..and I think it was how the sounds all echoed and sounded so much louder!
Hugs to you and Swimmer Max!
