my favorite toy?

Yep, it's still the monitor! (Playing with cars or dancing the "La La" with Mommy are still up there on the list...but for lights and sounds, the monitor rocks!)

Mommy thinks my monitor addiction is a little wacky, but it sure gives her relief. If she times it just right, I go to bed quite easily...IF and only if my monitor is in bed with me. I will even sneak in my room during the day to try and find my lil' machine! She and the nurses try and hide it, but they are no match for me. :)

So here is the routine. After my bath and medications, Mom puts me in my crib and I immediately line up a few of my toys. I make sure everything is on and working. Despite having a lot of fun, this cute dude (that's me) eventually needs some sleep, so I lay down beside the monitor and continue to work the buttons. Last but not least, I almost always fall asleep with my face glued to the monitor. Then Mommy comes in and gets me all hooked up and uses the machine for its actual purpose (measuring my oxygen level and heart rate). However, if I am not quite asleep...I wake up and start the routine all over OR cry, cry, cry until Mommy picks me up. Again, she is no match for me and I almost always win.

And you will have to imagine the next photo because Mom forgot to take it. (What? She has other things on her mind besides chronicling each and every cute moment in my life?!?)

So envision my face literally right up against the monitor with all the lights and beeps. (Hearing loss works in my favor at night...very few sounds can wake up this kiddo!) Anyway that's my nightly routine. But right now Mommy has to get back to hers...cleaning up my toys, organizing, etc.
