Max was the featured "September Miracle" for Children's Hospital.
Maxwell (“Mighty Max”) is an adorable boy with a charming smile and a strong inner spirit. Born two months early and diagnosed with CHARGE (Coloboma of the eye, Heart defects, Atresia of the choanae, Retardation of growth and/or development, Genital and/or urinary abnormalities, and Ear abnormalities and deafness) syndrome, he has faced many life threatening conditions and spent his first six months at Children's Hospital. His surgeries have included choanal atresia repair, gastrostomy tube placement, and open heart surgery. His chronic lung disease impacted his ability to breathe, so he was intubated and sedated for many months. He also dealt with viruses, infections and numerous invasive procedures. Children’s saved Max’s precious life, and his family is so grateful. Fifteen specialists are following Max’s development and he visits Children’s every month. Each visit reminds his family how thankful they are for the incredible hospital and its wonderful caregivers.

Brady says today "That's Maxwell? How'd he get so big?" And I sensed a touch of jealously when he found out Max has wheels. Offroading, Monster Truck shows, here you come!
