max's super fun new trick!

What a roller coaster of a day. I was pretty emotional this morning before church about some issues facing Maxwell and our future. Every once in a while, his challenges just smack me in the face. But sure enough, nearly every time that happens...Max wows me with a new accomplishment!

There were several fun moments today, but the VERY best was Max learning how to give "bumps" (greeting with fist to fist). Sara (our dear friend and wonderful roommate) and I met a little boy the other day who was doing it, and we thought it would be fun to teach Max. And she did...within minutes! How amazing is Mr. Max (and his fun teacher Sara!)?

I seriously about lost it with overwhelming pride for my lil' guy! We were hooting and hollering, and Max was LOVING his new trick AND all the excitement!!! We were so loud in the park that Elizabeth came out to see about all the commotion! It seriously is one his cutest moves ever!!!

I just love the connection between Max and Sara. They adore each other and their little "routines" with one another always make me giggle! :)

Then Miss Sara cooked dinner for the two of us and Grammy. Max wasn't too interested in trying out the food but he certainly provided the entertainment! (See the last two photos!) Thanks Sara for everything!

Giving Sara double "bumps" at the park!

...and now some "bumps" for Grammy!

At dinner, Max wanted Sara and I to give "bumps" to each other. So cute!

He was very excited and made sure we all were clapping each and every time!
This routine went on for quite some time and we were all roaring with laughter! Bumps, applause, bumps, applause, bump...you get the idea! What a funny kiddo! So excited to show this new trick off to everyone tomorrow!!! :)
