like mommy, like son

Not only does Max share my love of being silly...but he has also adopted a favorite food of mine! PEANUT BUTTER! He loves, loves, loves it! (Yes he is slowly but surely learning to eat. Earlier this week I was going to post how great Max was doing, but he has regressed the past few days. But meanwhile we will enjoy "snacking" on peanut butter!)

More peanut butter please! (He is signing "more.")

Never mind, I'll get it myself.

Ok all done. Now it's the dogs' turn to enjoy the remains! (They love peanut butter as much as Mommy and me!)

Amy,

While I was finishing my pb sandwich I decided to check the blog for the first time in quite a while.

Glad to hear you both have such good taste. Yea, Peanut Butter!

Know you both continue to be in our prayers.

Amy, you don't know me, but I heard about your blog and your adorable Max from Ang. I've been checking back here ever since. This may sound strange, but I just have to share.

This morning, I had a dream about Max. You and Kristy (Dylan's mom) were meeting to plan something. I was there to keep Max occupied while you met. We rocked while he took a nap, and when he woke up, he was insistent about playing on the floor. In fact, he even said, "floor". We played, and he understood everything I said, even though he didn't say anything. The looks he gave me were comical, as if he were telling me that I was totally underestimating him. As you were getting ready to leave, I was helping get his jacket on, and was singing to him (Jesus loves me). When we were done, he said thank you and gave me a hug. I remember watching you guys leave, thinking that he had come such a long way. And when I woke up and realized it was a dream, I was left with the most hopeful and amazing feeling, not only for Max, but for all kids with CHARGE.

I have no idea what prompted that dream, or why it happened. I just know it was an incredible privilege to dream about Max, and to be filled with hope and excitement about how he is going to keep on growing and developing.

Too CUTE, Max!!! Everytime I eat peanut butter toast I think of your mommy and Aunt Eliz eating it on the way to high school every morning. Now I know for sure you're your mommy's boy!
