mommy's determined...

That mommy of mine is quite determined to get me "ok" with grass. And I am trying...really trying...to oblige. But man oh man, that stuff can be really icky! All prickly and weird feeling.

We head out to the grass about every day, and at first I will complain. (I admit it, I can be very opinionated...wonder where I get that from?) But with the right encouragement and if my feet aren't actually touching the grass, I will sit there for a minute or two. Doesn't sound like much, but that is great progress from a few months ago.

This green stuff is everywhere, isn't it?

Mommy finally took my hint and picked me up. She lays down in the grass and tosses me up. That is usually my treat for trying out the grass. :)

What a sweet face--I never get tired of seeing Max's beautiful smile each time he conquers the next issue on his adgenda. Getting around in the grocery store--check (smile!), grass--check (smile!)...what's next for Mighty Max?

Hugs,
Sarah, Jeremy, and Evan

PS Thank you for the sweet cards you have sent Jeremy and Evan! We love and save every single one of them.

Maxwell,

It makes me sad to see a tear on your beautiful little face but I am confident that with Mommy's help we will soon see pictures of you playing in the grass with a big smile. You will have fun playing ball in the grass.

I love you,
"Auntie" Mary

I know that is the next thing you will accomplish, I just know it. You are so good to at least keep trying something you don't really like. Let me kiss that tear away. SMACK, SMACK. We love you.

Love,
Diane and Alex

lol. Oh Max,
You are not the only one who doesn't prefer the grass. My boy, he will walk like a cat with tape on his paws to not touch the grass. It is quite funny to watch though. I guess that stuff just takes getting used to. Pretty soon, your momma won't be able to get you to come inside from playing in the grass.
I love your shirt. What all does it say? I cant read it from your chubby belly :0
