max's birthday party!

I am getting soooooooooooo excited about Maxwell's birthday party tomorrow...actually today! :)

Our wonderful friend, Lori, is preparing the amazing "CAR" birthday cake. So eager to see her latest masterpiece! She even made Max his very own car cake. That way he can dig in and play with it...hopefully he will at least enjoy the icing! I got a little teary eyed when she told me about his personal cake. It is so great how many people adore him like I do! :)

Mom and I went shopping today for some yummy party food...and of course there will be KIX (his favorite "snack") for Max! Jim and Eliz are organizing the games....thanks guys! And tonight Miss Sara helped me put together the super cute goodie bags for the kiddos. They turned out perfect!

So almost everything is ready. YAY! Tomorrow I need to get balloons...Mr. Max is very into balloons these days! Every time we are at the grocery store, he gets so excited when he spots one. And he has actually cried a few times when I said that we couldn't get one. (How can you explain "times are tight" to a two year old?!?! Eeks!)

His obsession with balloons is hilarious when we drive by car dealerships. You know how they have all those huge balloons flying around? Well one day he noticed them and started going bananas signing "ball," "ball," "ball" in the backseat. Super cute! It's become a tradition now and we always take that way home so he can spot the balloons and sign "ball." Hopefully he enjoys our smaller version at his party!

Off to do a few more things for the party and then to bed. YAY for Max's big day! So excited! :)
