Yesterday we were trying to take a quick nap (Max woke me up at 3 am that day and had no interest in returning to sleep) and I was in desperate need of a few ZZZ's.
About 30 minutes into our nap, I checked on him and noticed his Gtube was laying beside him...not in him. Yikes. Somehow he managed to pull out his tube WITH the water balloon completely inflated in place! That is like pulling a cherry tomato through a pencil sized hole!
During that short time period, the hole started to close (it happens very quickly) and so it was quite tight. I thought for sure it would be a trip to the ER, but I managed to lube it up and force it back in. He wasn't a happy camper. Sorry Max, but we did avoid a hospital visit!
And fortunately, some good ol' mommy love helped him forget soon enough!

WOW sounds like we had somewhat of the same night, Eva's came out too but hers closed do much we couldn't get it back in at all but we have not used it in 8 months so I am hoping we never have to put it back in at all.
Hugs,
Crystal and Eva
WOW! Amy, you are amazing! How frightening especially with no one there to help you. God must have been guiding you.
Love, Mary

Max, I'm sure you know you have an Incredible Mommy. Amy, so glad you were able to fix the gtube. I would have been a nervous wreck.

Wow!! Good for you! I would have flipped out and ran to the ER!! How did you know how far to put it back in or if you got it in the right spot!! Thanks for adding Alissa and I to you blog! And thanks for the updates! Hugs Angela and Alissa
Well Max, between you and Miss Eva not-so-surgically removing parts from yourselves, yall are bound to put those doctors out of business! Maybe from now on we could leave those things up to the doctors--what do ya say? Take care sweetie.
