I will crawl from our carpeted living room to the wood floors in the kitchen just to play with my cars. (Mom was very impressed that I got that concept all on my own!)
What is even funnier is that I carry one around all the time...literally. And if it's not a car, it's a puzzle piece or one of Mom's chapsticks. (She has a slight addiction, so they are everywhere. And actually I really enjoy when she puts some on me too!)
Occasionally Mom tries to take away my "object" of the moment if I am trying to do something that requires two hands, but I get very sad. Usually my tears and sweet lil' pout win her over and I get my toy back.
My special education teacher was here the other day and Mommy was trying to show her how I use my walker (separate post...very exciting!). My teacher took away my puzzle piece thinking it would encourage me to move forward, but instead I let her know how I felt about what she did. And let me tell you, it wasn't pleasant. I let her know very clearly to GIVE BACK MY TOY!!!
So for now my mommy is going to enjoy this funny developmental "possessive" stage. :) And of course take lots of photos!
Plus what a great place to play with my car!
Notice the tight grip of my right hand? Yep, you guessed it...I'm not letting go of my car.
I can even play with my car on top of my cool cube!
And of course my playtable is a big, open space for playing cars.

Max you have your cars, and I have Rachael Ray (just kidding, I don't take my cracker box around with me, so it's not exactly the same). I'm excited to hear about you using your waker, because I'm using mine too (have your mommy read my mommy's latest post). You know what that means...you are offically "a new WALKER" (because I am, according to my new PT). Huge Yeah!!! Sending you a big forhead rub and a love pat.
Hugs, Evan

Hey, Max! Matchbox cars were my favorite too when I was little--and I'm a girl! (Of course, that was years and years ago. Yes, they made matchbox cars way back then, too!) I had a little suitcase of them that I would carry EVERYWHERE! I especially loved to play with them on my Mommaw and Poppaw's farm. I'd take them in the barn or out to the field with me while they worked. You brought back some great memories for me!
You hang onto those cars, and don't let anyone take them! :-)

That is so cute!!! Enjoy your cars and I am sure you will enjoy new and more wonderful things as you grow.

According to Chad match box cars are truly the best little boy toys- becaue ofcourse its the beginning of their future obsession of big cars!
You are so smart Maxwell. I can't keep up with you. You are just going forward in huge leaps and bounds. I am tired just trying to keep up. :)
Love,
Diane and Alex
