Maxwell's special needs "school" had a very successful fundraiser on Friday night. YAY!
I volunteered and was so proud of Mighty Max being highlighted as one of the special kiddos at the school. Everyone learned about his story and I loved telling people "yep, that's my guy!"
It was wonderful to have so many people in the community come out and support this incredibly worthy cause. Congratulations to the hardworking staff and board of directors at WCEL.
For more information about their amazing programs, you can visit the WCEL website. We are blessed to have this in our community!

yay for max
That is great!!! You are such a great mom and person to do so much for so many great causes.
I know the feeling tho you always want to give back to all who have helped you and Max. I help the hospital and we are going to start a foundation in Eva's name to help many other great causes.
Great job Amy!!
Crystal and Eva
We were "invited" but of course Larry had to work that night, I really wanted to go! I'm glad that you got to be a part of it all.
And reading about Max and his walker-gawkers... it may be uncomfortable, but think, those people will REMEMBER his face. And his name, and just how wonderful he is. He makes a lasting impression on everyone he encounters. I have acquaintences that can't remember my kids' names or ages; I have to remind them (I'm guilty of it too). But I doubt too many people say "And what is your son's name again?" He is a celebrity. We'll be reading about him in Tiger Beat some day ;-)
