Tonight was so great! :) We visited with Eliz, Tom Tom and Jackson...and played, played and played!
Usually when Max is somewhere besides home, he acts more reserved and tends to observe, rather than interact. (That always disappoints me because I like showing off his energy and tricks!) So our visit started out that way, but then Max showed his cousins his wild side. He was being hilarious crawling all over the place, smiling and playing. I have been working with him on climbing over things, and tonight he decided to use me as his personal "Mount McKinley." Too funny. He kept climbing over me...back and forth, back and forth. This really requires a lot of strength and coordination.
He is getting so much more adventurous these days and just loves to "rough house." This week I started spinning around with him and throwing him (not really "throwing"...more like just a fast lift) up high...and he smiles and giggles his sweet lil' Maxwell laugh.
My wild man is pretty darn amazing! :)
* Yes, Maxwell is supposed to be in "isolation" but his doctor also understands the need for Max to occasionally socialize. We just have to avoid sick kiddos and be extra careful with sharing toys, etc. We actually broke the "isolation" rule earlier this week too...I really was missing Max's playgroup. It was so great to show off all of Maxwell's latest tricks! Everyone was quite impressed!

Mighty Max & Incredible Amy, what a team. You both have been working hard and can tell it has paid off, we get to hear about the "wild side of Max". He melts my heart.

Way to go, Max!!! I bet your cousins had as much FUN as you did. Your hard work --- and your mommy's --- is paying off, isn't it? Sure wish we had some video footage of your Mt. McKinley expedition! I bet you were the cutest "mountain" climber ever.
Your comment about Max using you as a mountain reminds me of how I would play with Cameron when he was younger. I'd lay on the floor and he would crawl all over me. A great work out for both of us!
Thanks for sharing.

Boys will be boys! They have a genetic need to rough house, climb, tumble and just be a little crazy don't they. Get those bookshelves screwed to the wall before he moves on to climbing those too! Way to go little man.
