We are expected to get the divorce order from the "other camp" tomorrow. We were supposed to receive this a week ago. It will be ridiculous, I'm certain...but still curious to see just how outlandish it is. Meanwhile, legal fees are adding up like crazy and my lawyer wants payments ASAP before we proceed. When in the world will this be over??? I have MUCH better things to do with my time and money. :)
On another note...Vic is refusing to pay Max's medical expenses. He says they should be part of the child support. What in the world? Child support is for a "typical" child, it certainly doesn't cover this many medications, doctor's appointments, or therapy sessions. So I have to file a contempt with the court. Fun, fun, fun.
Oh and I have learned he definitely is running again in 2008 for state senate. A man who breaks the laws makes the laws? What is wrong with this picture???

Child support is for normal everyday needs of a child...I have that in MY divorce decree(and our two children are not special needs so keep that in mind when I tell you what else I have included! haha).....ANYTHING else, above and beyond is subject to EXTRA payments...ie..I have in the decree (and this is a VERY standard decree...the same is in my husbands decree with HIS exwife) that any medical expenses NOT covered by insurance is split...as is dental..also, I have extraordinary expenses will be split..such as (and I have it itemized) graduation pictures...prom dresses/tuxes...etc etc etc...so Vic thinking that Max's medical should be a part of child support is NUTS...especially given the volume of his bills!
As for 2008...I am sure there is a HUGE contingency..both here and in WV that will make sure that the public is FULLY aware of his personal life..in fact, perhaps all the talk shows should hear about it? Montel in particular loves to hear about guys like this! :)
Hugs to you Miss Amy...as usual..your dignity level is phenomenal!

First of all, thank you for adding me to your blog. I really appreciate it as I love reading about Max. My family and I pray for him everyday.
As for Vic?? I live in his district and I know I won't be voting for him, or my husband, or many of our friends, or many of the people I will talk to about him if he does decide to run in 2008. If he thinks what he is doing to you won't hit the media and won't be all over the place, he is sorely mistaken. I can't wait to see him standing on a street corner holding his stupid signs. I just might stop and give him a piece of my mind.
Sorry for the rant. It just irritates me to no end when "fathers" won't take care of their children.
I live in his district and I will NOT be voting for him;
On a happier note, I loved the video; He is such a cute little boy and what a smile....
Take care.
i used to live in charleston, wv, however, i now live in charlotte. my family still lives in charleston and i can promise you my family will know how he is treating is beautiful little boy. i can promise you, he won't be receiving their votes. i have worked in the legal field for the past 30 years and it is standard for the medical expenses to be split 50/50 in addition to the child support. also, most parents split educations costs, proms, etc. 50/50. this man needs to grow up and stand up and be a man and do the right thing. i cannot express how disappointed i am in him.
Hugs Amy!! I hope its all over soon and you and Max can move on with your lives. I did read up on your ex and he seems like a horrible person. I hope if he runs this all comes back and slaps him in the face. All people have to do is google him and they will know what a horrible choice he would be if they vote for him.
Hugs,
Crystal and Eva
I am utterly agast that a man that alleges to be well educated and have knowledge of so many things is so ignorant when it comes to family legal matters and his son. However my gut feels that he's being goated by someone else regarding some of these matters.
UGH. Hard to take some people. UGH!! So mad. Hang in there Amy and Max. Vic's day is coming and I hope how soon. !! Very upset.
Love you Maxwell and Amy,
Diane and Alex
Amy, I'll be praying that you are set free very, very soon, and that all your needs (and Max's) are provided for one way or another. I'll also be praying that your ex somehow finds a sense of compassion, responsibility, and whatever else he needs to do the right thing.....all while managing to leave you alone and not be a burden to you anymore. On top of that, I'll praying that God gives you a future with hope, joy, peace, and provision in all aspects. May you find special blessing, even in this horrible time.
I have in my divorce decree that in addition to the monthly child support, he is to pay 50% of all medical bills including orthodontic, opthamologist, dermatologist, prescriptions, etc. Get that written into yours. It is the law here in WV. I hope you get your papers soon. I am waiting on mine to be signed by the judge here in Charleston. Thanks for adding me too!
Dear Amy and Max. Thank you for continuing to allow me to see Max everyday. I'm so excited to be able to check in on him. To see progress and to see those smiles. I too, along with everybody else, pray for a release of these divorce struggles and let you and Max be free. I love the video of Max and can't wait till the next update. Max, you have quite the fan club. Have a wonderful day Mighty Max and Amy!
Your friend down in Texas, Shannon

Believe me, everybody I know is learning just what a POS vic is. I make sure my friends, family and coworkers know how bad he's treating his precious son. He is beyond pathetic!
Thank you for allowing me to view your posting on fabulous Max and his amazing mommy.
As a Kanawha County voter I know where my vote will not go. My friends have also expressed the same feelings.
Keep up the progress Max-you make everyone proud.
Amy, As you know previously I have voted for Vic, made financial contributions to him and had a large sign of his in my yard. I am so sorry I ever did that. It will never happen again. Maxwell is the primary reason but in addition, I totally disagree with Vic's views on recent issues. I have only found two people who said they would vote for him. One is 91 years of age (perhaps she isn't thinking clearly) and by 2008 may be dead. The other (a politician) may relocate outside WV.
