Today Max and I headed to Seattle for the hospital's annual Festival of Trees. Each year, a guild puts together this amazing event with elaborate Christmas trees, gorgeous decorations everywhere, lights, music, treats...and of course Santa. Such a festive way to kick off the holiday season!
Each of the trees honors a special patient ("the frequent fliers") at the hospital. In 2006, Max was honored and it was so exciting. Click here to see some of those cutie-patootie photos...he was so itty bitty!
As usual, Max loved all the lights and decorations! He also thought the escalator was super exciting! :)
This tree seemed to be one of his favorites. |
Another special attraction is the "Teddy Bear Suite." The entire suite is decked out in beautiful, big, cuddly teddy bears. Seriously, you just want to snuggle right in and take a nap. The suite is so popular that you wait in line for a good 30 minutes or so. Fortunately Max was in a very giggly mood and we entertained the crowds as we waited. :)
Max loved the teddy bears...he just doesn't care to smile for the camera. :) |
