trust fund

For various reasons, I have held off on setting up a trust fund for Maxwell. Not really sure why but I think there were some emotional barriers knowing he would always need intensive support throughout his life. And the thought of not always being here for Maxwell? Well, that simply has been too overwhelming to even comprehend.

But today I am doing it...and I am happy to cross this off my "to do" list. I am meeting with a local lawyer to get it started, and my brother's finanical firm (in WV) is planning to help with the maintenance, investments, etc. (Thank you David!)

Off we go...

(And just wait until you hear what Maxwell begins tomorrow!!! I am to the moon EXCITED!!!)

Wow you are ahead of us, I know their is so much we need to do and it hard to get that 1st step to do it because its almost like we are saying to ourselves "We give in" but really we are doing it for our children and they need it!!
Good luck and how rude to keep us hanging and having to wait to see what Max is doing tomorrow.
LOL!!

Yay Amy! I hope to cross that huge thing off my to-do list one of these days, too.

Great job in takign that step. We were hesitant with Josh too, and couldn't get life insurance for him because of CHARGE, but wish we would've done more in terms of his trust fund. The first step of setting it up is definitely the hardest (especially if you are like me--not very savvy with all the investing lingo). Can't wait to see Max tomorrow!
